I read the book that this movie was adapted from a few years ago. And when I heard it was being turned into a movie I wasn't surprised. It has all the makings of an Oscar-bait awards kind of movie.
On the pages of a book it was fascinating what these reporters went through to bring to light the allegations of Weinstein. But for some reason if just didn't transfer well from page to screen.
I found the movie boring, and that might just be my own fault cause I already knew how and where it went. But I don't think it helped that our two lead actress didn't stand out. And that might have been a choice since the movie is to highlight the women who were victims, but there performances were just bland. This should have been an 'All the Presidents Men' type drama for the "Me Too" era, but it fell short for me.
