Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs turns the tables on his ghostly host until Present finds himself reexamining his own past, present and future.
I'm not a musical fan and tend to stay away from them, with the exception of the occasional Disney movie. I can think of a handful of musicals that I've actually enjoyed. When it comes to Christmas musicals there are only two that I love 'Muppets Christmas Carol', and 'Scrooge'.
'Spirited' is another Christmas Carol adaptation that we seem to get every other year. The problem with this movie is a I think I would have liked it more if it didn't have any music in it. It also would have probably cut 30 mins off the run time. It had way to many musical numbers and no time to breath in-between. Luckily since this is on Apple TV I fast forward through most of them and back to the main plot.
I kind of was into the main storyline and the different take on a Christmas Carol. Seeing it from the ghosts point of view was interesting. And I do like the comedic dynamic between Reynolds and Ferrell, I just wish they had focused more on that than the singing and dancing.
